Welcome message
LES Young Members Congress (YMC) is finally back with a live event!
We would like to cordially invite you on Friday, September 30, 2022 to the 9th Pan-European LES YMC Conference. After the virtual edition of last year due to the pandemic still in place, we are finally happy to welcome you in Milan for an event in presence to discuss of sports and IP, also because Milan will host (with Cortina d’Ampezzo) next Winter Olympics Games in 2026. The aim of the event is to convey to international participants peculiarities and strategies adopted by outstanding protagonists of the sport field in the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, opening a dialogue on the points of contact and divergences in legislation among the different jurisdictions. The program is divided into three sessions, on topics such as ambush marketing, licensing and sponsorship, and about the new frontiers of sports in the virtual world and the metaverse. For each session there will be a couple of keynote speakers as judges, members of the government authorities, general counsels etc. who will speak for 15/20 min. each. Then, there will be a round table in which we'd like to involve foreign LES YMC members, both lawyers and IP attorneys. This is how we intend to give a direct voice to the key players and their experiences in IP rights protection and management and then leave room for discussion in round table format among international professionals. The event, free of charge for LES members, will be held in the futuristic PwC headquarters in Libeskind Tower in the City Life District in Milan, where there also will be the lunch at the restaurant inside the tower. If you want to learn more about the sports industry and if you want to have the opportunity to interact directly with its protagonists and with international participants all over the world, please join us!
We look forward to hosting you in Milan on September 30 at the 9th Pan-European LES YMC Conference.
Registration is free of charge for LES members and EUR 100 for non-members. To become a member please contact your local LES Society or send an e-mail to our LES YMC Chair, Kilian Schärli at Kilian.Schaerli@mll-legal.com
